Marutama Ra-Men! (まる玉らーめん)

The Central #03-90/91

http://www.ma-rutama.co.jp

11.30a.m to 10.00pm.

Two Words: GO TRY!

Upon entering the small shop located on the third floor of Central.
A small party of me, sister, mother and uncle proceeded to scan through the menu.
Much to our dismay, it seems that the choices given are rather limited.

Mainly 3 sorts of Ra-men to choose from only.
A nutty one, Chili one, and normal chicken broth-ed one.

Thus, since no one in our group likes nuts, we had two chillies and two normal.

Also, feeling generous, my mother piped up: How about some side dishes?

So she happily selected a random 3 from the menu and we sat back in happy conversation while awaiting our order.

Personally i did not enjoy these meatballs that much.
Tender and juicy meat, but the soup like "sauce" that came with it was just plain weird.

My ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE DISH!
Look, price wise?
S$2 per Slice. So this plate cost us S$8.
At first, we mumbled rather disgruntled over the confounded price.
But, upon sinking our teeth into this glorious meat, it was 100% worth every cent.
The lemon provided with the Char Siew meat was a perfect sour zest that complimented the slight saltiness of the utterly tender, melt-in-your-mouth, sinful goodness.

The fatty parts which i usually biasedly condemn to the side of my plate was relished with every single bite. & it compliments the Ra-men well too!

Another wonderful dish! This egg たまご is not something that just anyone can fry up.
No, it is made from years of experience and professionalism. The egg was a perfect combination of sweetness and a very slight tinge of saltiness from the thoughtful grated cold radish and soy sauce that was dolloped at the side of the plate. Very enjoyable dish. ((:

Ra-men in piping hot Chicken Broth with a great amount of shallots and tender pork. (:
The chicken broth much unlike many others which i have tasted do NOT make you thirsty.
What does that prove? Our good friend Ajinamoto is missing. :D
Also, the missing MSG did NOT compromise on the tastiness of the broth at all.
In fact, it seems as good or probably even better.

Halfway mark through eating. xDD

Verdict?

GO TRY! :DDDD
