title: Suit Up's Night Cycling! :D
time: Okay for more detailed purposes, please look to Alan's blog:
[Click here for detailed post by Alan] For random photo spam and rubbish captions look below! :D So the OG's (& my) first Night Cycling adventure commenced! Meeting at Changi Village to rent the bikes ($10 each), we had dinner. GO THERE AND TRY THE NASI LEMAK NAO! HAHAA! Awesome stuff i swear. Loving the chicken (OCK still better though hmph). But it is a pretty mean nasi lemak, i mean the queue kinda says it all. :D Final group picture before we set off at 10pm for what I feel is the most exhausting experience i've experienced to date. :D ♥ing my awesome OG group & the seniors. Their spontaneity never fail to amaze me! Cycling from Changi to East Coast Park was pretty exhausting but hey, legs muscles were still fresh, nothing devastatingly hard or anything. Stopped at the Lagoon for supper at approximately 2am in the morn. Seafood stall was closing so we settled for some not so amazing Roti John, but hey, good company is all that matters right? (: Sat at a table with Gim Siong, Chi Pang, Eric, Baoyue, Grace, Ker Yu and Alan. Pretty entertaining talk session, the first three mentioned were apparently all my PJC seniors! :D So old! HAHAHHAA! Funny how they reminisce about their alma mater as i struggle to comprehend. So fast different teachers already? :O After which we departed for our intended destination of Marina Barrage. And shortly after cycling down the never ending stretch of ECP... At 0310am, Chi Pang, decided he couldnt go on & collapsed on the floor. HAHAHA! okay, i kid. He did continue, but his muscle ache was apparently hurting pretty badly. :O But still we pushed on & he persevered! Good job! (: We reached a point where the Singapore Flyer was visible at roughly 0530 in the morn. Exhausted, we took in the breathtaking (literally - we were panting pretty hard) view of the Singapore Skyline and welcomed the constant wind brushing past our faces. Enthusiastic to capture this moment, we grouped together for a photo in hopes of capturing this beautiful backdrop. Alas! The results was a perfectly ordinary (albeit super "cui" faced) group picture! :P Ah well, you can make out a mini Flyer beside Eric's shoulder. :B Wondering where to get this splendid view for that romantic date? ;) Im sorry guys i wouldn't recommend it especially not if you are cycling. That spot happens to be on a Flyover linking to the City Hall area of Singapore and to get onto the flyover, one requires the carrying up of the bikes via this: SEVEN MONSTER FLIGHTS OF STAIRS! D: Thank you Hysen! You were so self sacrificing to help me carry mine despite your ankle. God, i feel so weak. :| But the ride down the flyover was super thrilling! We literally flew down the flyover! Heh heh! It was decided that we were too exhausted to handle the distance back if we continued on towards the Barrage, hence, we made our pit stop at the Flyer, where the F1's pitstops also happen to be nearby. :P Headed back, and omgmcxnvmx, znv. D: I SWEAR I WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN! Thigh ache aside, the BUTT! OMG, the BUTT! DDD: I shall liken it to being on fire. Omg, ever time you even try to shift your butt to adjust the pain, its like an explosion of pain! HAHAHA! Thank god for Weixiang's miracle Cooling spray which alleviated our thigh pains! (Sorry my butt, you were unfortunately not within spraying distance). & Thank god for the company of Ker Yu & Alan as we travelled. & Special mention to Alan who kept pushing me on when i wanted to just die on the spot! Our conversations spurred us on as we discussed everything under the sun and came upon the discovery of how to use the bicycle gears properly - wait for it - as we neared the end of the journey. T___T! The stretch beside Changi Airport was killer man! I swear! The constant repetition of "Almost there! Reaching soon!" WAS A LIEEEEE! =A= Its like someone merely pasted a picture of the road in front of me and in actual fact im on those cycling machines cycling like nobodies' business and not moving an inch! D: But hey! We did it man! :D At 0848 in the morning, we conquered the Night Cycling! :D Took a picture of the "cui" faces of everyone. WAHAHA! I shall bask in our triumphant glow now! :D Albeit, continued butt pains. ): Silly bicycle seats. *END* |
