And she spoke words
That'd melt in your hands
And she spoke words
Of wisdom.

Being a tourist is so refreshing.
Getting out of the country, and being an anonymous stranger in a foreign land.
The feeling of knowing that anything you do doesn't matter because you wouldn't see any of these people in awhile.
It makes you feel alive, happy, exotic!
My recent trip to Thailand was an eye opener for sure.
I dressed and acted however i wanted!
People there are a lot less judgmental and pretty much mind their own business.
And if they weren't? I was having too much fun to care.
Make friends with street vendors, dance as you shop, wear a cowboy hat, sing with a banana microphone after breakfast, run down the hotel lobby, chatter rapidly and happily, eat as much as you want!
The possibilities were endless! It was amazing!
Visiting new cousins, new aunts and uncles, finding out more about the family, shopping like some clothes-hungry woman, lighting up with glee at the street vendors that's non-existant in my homeland.
I felt like a kid again, in Disneyland! (or wherever kids go to have fun nowadays)
Holidays have never been a constant thing in the family.
Hectic work, school schedules and our unharmonious holidays became a huge barrier in family bonding.
I'm glad we went. (:
Whoa, that was a rush of words, haven't blogged for so long, my thoughts are just spilling out into a huge digital word puddle. Heh.
PS: Try those street foods even if your parents tell you not to.
Piping hot chicken wings, fried chives cakes, syrup laden ice balls? Old School soda popsicles? Hell yea.
I had no rumored tummy aches ya'll. In fact it was so delicious I had 3 in a row. Heck at 4 Baht (SGD$0.20 approx), how could you argue against such awesome slushy deliciousness on a scorching day?
The trip was amazing beyond words, and it kinda bummed me out to be back.
But hey, all good things come to an end and it was fantastic while it lasted.
Can't wait for the next family holiday! ☺☺☺

Im a genius at blowing up minor issues. Pretty cynical. Very ironic. Loves being loved. And yet boring to hang around. Adores comforting silence. Keeps to herself like some human-phobic creature.
